Dr. Dre
Andre Romelle Young built two of the most influential albums in hip-hop history twenty years apart. The Chronic in 1992 introduced G-funk and launched Snoop Dogg to the world. 2001 in 1999 returned after a seven-year absence with a record that raised the ceiling on rap production and introduced Eminem to a mainstream audience. His ear for talent and his obsession with sonic detail made him the most important producer the genre has ever seen. Everything that came out of Compton after 1992 runs through Dre.
