Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version (CD, Import)

Ol' Dirty Bastard's solo debut, mostly produced by RZA, plays by its own rules. Rapping, mumbling, singing, and letting wordless noises escape mid-bar, he moves from rough to smooth inside the same song, and the title and lyrics wink at Wu-Tang's self-built mythology. "Shimmy Shimmy Ya," "Brooklyn Zoo," and "Dirty Dancin'" with Method Man show why it still sounds like nothing else. This is the UK import pressing of The Dirty Version.
