Benny the Butcher & Harry Fraud

Benny the Butcher came up in Buffalo alongside Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine, building Griselda Records on the premise that the 1990s New York hardcore sound had never been properly replaced. Harry Fraud is a producer from New York whose ear runs from vintage soul to cinematic orchestration, the rare collaborator who matches Benny's precision without getting in the way of it. The Plugs I Met series is their signature work together: dense, layered records that reward close listening and hold up to repeated plays. Rolling Stone named Plugs I Met 2 one of the best rap albums of 2021.
