For the first time ever, every volume of Madlib's iconic Beat Konducta series is collected in one deluxe 7LP box set. Exclusive to the box set is Vol. 0: Earth Sounds, recorded between 1994 and 1996 and released in 2001 as a limited pressing. The set also includes Vol. 1-2: Movie Scenes & Movie Scenes, the Sequel, Vol. 3-4: In India, and Vol. 5-6: Dil Cosby Suite & Dil Withers Suite, each in a limited 2LP gatefold edition for the first time. Movie Scenes and its sequel, inspired by library music for film and TV, were originally released in 2005 and 2006. For In India, Madlib traveled through his record collection to the Asian subcontinent, from Bollywood soundtracks to 1960s through 1980s productions from India. He pays tribute to his friend and collaborator, the late J Dilla, on Vol. 5-6. The volumes in the box set are pressed on classic black vinyl, while the standalone editions are on color vinyl. More Dilla is in our J Dilla collection.
