Westside Connection brought together three West Coast solo careers already established in their own right, Ice Cube, fresh off N.W.A. and a run of acclaimed solo albums, Mack 10, and WC of the Madd Circle, into a single supergroup moment. Bow Down, their 1996 debut, produced largely by Ice Cube himself alongside QD3 and Butta, delivered a title track and lead single that announced exactly what three established voices sound like once they stop competing and start collaborating.
