House of Pain
Everlast, Danny Boy, and DJ Lethal formed House of Pain in high school, building something distinctly Irish-American and distinctly hip-hop into the same sound. Their 1992 self-titled debut carried Jump Around, produced by Cypress Hill's DJ Muggs, straight to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and into permanent rotation as one of the most recognizable beats hip-hop ever produced. The album runs deeper than the single, B-Real and Funkdoobiest's Son Doobie both make appearances, part of the same Soul Assassins circle that connects House of Pain straight back to Cypress Hill.
