Brand Nubian

Brand Nubian formed in New Rochelle, New York, Grand Puba, Sadat X, and Lord Jamar building a sound around Five Percenter philosophy and radio-ready charisma without either side losing its edge. Their 1990 debut, One for All, became a genre landmark, later named among the greatest hip-hop albums ever recorded. Grand Puba left after that first record to build his own solo career, and the group carried on without him, but this is where it started, and where the archive begins too.
