The second studio album by Prodigy and Havoc, released in 1995 and now widely regarded as one of the essential records of the East Coast Renaissance. Produced almost entirely by Havoc in his Queensbridge apartment, The Infamous set the template for a generation of hardcore rap: eerie piano loops, distorted synthesizers, sparse filtered basslines, and rhymes that made you feel the cold of a New York housing project at 3am. Shook Ones Pt. II remains one of the most recognized records in hip-hop history. Along with Illmatic and Enter the Wu-Tang, it defined the sound of New York in 1995 and it has never stopped sounding current. This Sony Legacy reissue is pressed on 140g vinyl.
