Jay Love Japan (LP)

In 2005, rumors began circulating about a J Dilla solo album called Jay Love Japan, a project inspired by one of Jay Dee's favorite locations to visit on tour. After Dilla's death in early 2006 it became a lost classic, circulating only as bootlegs and promos. An official CD came out in 2008 and went immediately out of print. This 2016 vinyl pressing, presented by Dilla's mother Ma Dukes and her Vintage Vibez Music Group, is the release it always deserved: eleven tracks of late-period Dilla at his most soulful, with vocal appearances from Blu, Miguel, J*Davey, Ta'Raach, Exile, and Baatin.
