Donuts (2xLP)

Donuts was released on February 7 2006, J Dilla's 32nd birthday. He died three days later. Made while Dilla was hospitalized, the album is 31 beats built from samples no one else would have thought to use, stitched together in a logic that only makes sense after you stop trying to follow it. There is no more personal production record in hip-hop.
