Quality Street Music 2 arrives four years after the original and marks DJ Drama's transition into the Generation Now era, the label he co-founded that would sign Lil Uzi Vert. The album is leaner than its predecessor at ten tracks, but the guest list reflects exactly where Drama's instincts were pointing: Lil Wayne opens it, Lil Uzi Vert appears on Big Money, and Wishing with Chris Brown became his highest-charting single, peaking at number 77 on the Hot 100. Post Malone, Young Thug, Ty Dolla Sign, Mac Miller, Meek Mill, and T.I. round out a project that bridges the Atlanta era of Quality Street Music with the sound that would define the next generation.
